  • Founder, Co-CEO

    Lewis focuses on delivering high impact transformation initiatives at company and sector level.

    Prior to co-founding BRAE, Lewis spent 17 years in several large multinational corporations designing and delivering complex organisational transformation initiatives, building multi sector partnerships, and delivering sustainability programmes from the ground up.

    Bringing a rich background in corporate finance, strategy, transformation, supply chain, and value chain innovation; he is passionate about accelerating the adoption of 1.5-degree critical technologies and innovation to industry at scale.

    Lewis is a husband, dad, adventure runner, and digger of many ponds.

    Suzy specialises in emerging futures, collective intelligence, field-building and organisational / inter-organisational learning.

    She designs processes that support stakeholders to think, act and work together to achieve impacts that outstrip individual capabilities. She is an experienced facilitator.

    Recent work includes bringing together a cluster of think tanks to establish how to mainstream alternative economic models, facilitating a community of practice with a group of NGOs addressing decarbonisation of financial investment into the built environment, and designing a programme of work exploring the use of systems models, methods and approaches for a major climate funder.

    Suzy’s career spans social innovation, digital transformation, sector development and funding. She started her career in the creative industries, where she produced immersive work for major broadcasters and museums.

  • Founder, Director of Research

    James delivers qualitative and quantitative research and consulting underpinned by deep understanding of sustainable business transformation, industry transition, and environmental science.

    Prior to founding BRAE, James launched and led the Business Transformation Group at Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership to chart a path towards sustainable, purpose-driven corporations.

    Prior to that he built climate and natural capital data systems and delivered strategy and risk analyses for a leading sustainability consultancy.

    His PhD at University of Cape Town addressed climate and ecological tipping points in biodiverse landscapes. He currently supervises University of Cambridge postgraduate researchers on business transformation and systems change.
